All three were very compelling reads, but I’m not exactly sure how I feel about Mockingjay. No doubt that The Hunger Games was my favorite. Now the big question….what to read next? Any suggestions?

“King of Generosity” (Matthew 26:1-13) – Audio recording of my Wednesday evening sermon at Bellevue Church of Christ in Nashville, TN on August 8, 2012.
This sermon looks at the details of an unusual story and three things it can teach us about our own generosity as we work in the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 26:6–13 (ESV)
6 Now when Jesus was at Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, 7 a woman came up to him with an alabaster flask of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he reclined at table. 8 And when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste? 9 For this could have been sold for a large sum and given to the poor.” 10 But Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a beautiful thing to me. 11 For you always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me. 12 In pouring this ointment on my body, she has done it to prepare me for burial. 13 Truly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told in memory of her.”
Another great book, though not quite a compelling as The Hunger Games. I’ve never been an overly fast reader, which is why I can’t believe I’ve already finished the first two of these books in just over 3 days. Already read the first few pages of Mockingjay!

What is your heart rate doing after 2 hours of aqua jogging?
I honestly have no idea. It is such a surreal feeling. Even though I was completely exhausted at the end, it’s hard to gauge heart rate since I’m not sweating and my core temperature doesn’t increase. I probably have about the same amount of fatigue right now (hours later) as after a long run on the road, but don’t have the “creaky” feeling in my legs like I’m used to. Just strange.
