Today, we woke up at the Springhill Suites in Miami. I can’t say that’s where I expected to be this morning, but it is what it is. We had a nice breakfast at the hotel, and then we hung out in our room for a couple hours.
After reconvening with the rest of the group, we checked out of the hotel and ubered back to the airport. We waited in the customer services line for a while after we arrived.
Eventually, we were able to book earlier flights to JFK airport in New York that would give us a better layover. We decided to take them, and then we proceeded through security. Our group had to split up on two flights, but if we’d gone on our originally scheduled flight, we would’ve missed Tel Aviv a second time.
For lunch, we tried a cuisine we’d never really tried before— Cuban. It was a very different eating experience, but I liked the majority of what I got, and I think the rest of us did too.
Finally, after a few hours of waiting at the gate, we boarded the flight to JFK airport. There was a lot of turbulence in the first ten minutes or so, but the views of the Miami sunset were breathtaking.
Thankfully, after we landed, we were able to board the flight to Tel Aviv! This is the biggest and most impressive plane I’ve ever seen in my life, and I’m so excited to finally get going!
Have a great trip. Be safe and tell your Dad to take plenty of pics.
