Me:
Sara, do you want to be a runner like daddy when you grow up?
Sara:
No…I want to be Sara when I run!
What is Team Agee?
It is what we call our family, and represents our approach to faith and life together. We are team that…
(1) Strives to serve the Lord together in everything we do. Without God, the strength of this team would not be possible. Our number one priority in life is to follow Jesus Christ and pass this faith to our children.
(2) Enjoys doing things together, whether it be our family meals, going on a hike, or sharing a wonderful vacation.
(3) Faces everything together, including both joys and problems. We are in this as a team and understand that the good times are even better when enjoyed together, and dealing with difficulties is much easier when faced as a family.
(4) Aims to be physically active and maintain a healthy lifestyle. All of us enjoy running and exercising at some level, but we always allow our kids to choose the things they want to do. Both have participated in running races, but they also like hiking, gymnastics, ballet, and yoga. Our main goal is to establish a foundation of being active that will carry on throughout our lives.
Our Team Agee Blog launched in 2010 on Tumblr and was a way for us to share the journey of our family as it relates to the ideas listed above. Now, we have decided to move to our our own website as a way to provide a better platform for not only the Blog, but also Bible Study Materials, Sermon Audio, Race Reviews, Gear Reviews, and interacting with followers.
For our connections on Tumblr, we have not abandoned you! All of the blog posts on this site will be automatically posted to our Tumblr site.
We welcome you to pay our new site a visit and let us know what you think!

What is that? A hunting vest?
Actually, the vest and knife are part of a “Survival Kit” that she received from her parents. It came with an Army backpack and vest, flashlights (no batteries required), mylar blankets, non-perishable food, and a whole bunch of other stuff.
My little Sara sharing a bit of her Christmas spirit. Enjoy.
To call this an “unconventional throwing motion” would be a bit of an understatement

Does he use them or just collect like Jay Leno? That is a whole MESS of tractors!
Mostly just a collector. I don’t think he uses any of them for actual farming, but they all still run. They range in years from the 1920s to the 1960s, and he takes them to various shows and fairs for display.
For each Halloween since Sara was born (she’s now 3), our entire family has gone with themed costumes. For example, Harry Potter in 2011:
Well, earlier this month Sara decided she wanted to also do this for our trip to Disney World on fall break next week:
What do you think?
You may or may not know that I’m obsessed with the color red, especially when it comes to running clothes and shoes. Well, with that in mind…
Kate’s school has required uniforms, which are a combination of purple, black, yellow, and white. Last year Kate wore grey Nike Frees, which complimented her uniform very well. Last week Olivia took Kate to buy some new shoes for school, and sometime during the afternoon I got the following text from Olivia…
Even though they clash horribly with her uniform, I thought they were great…
Well, today when I saw Kate after she had dressed for school…
I thought her shoes were awesome, and was immediately reminded of one of our family’s favorite children’s books featuring Pete the Cat…
And today Kate was DEFINITELY Rocking in Her School Shoes!! Wear ‘em proudly honey!
A few weeks ago my wife’s car was hit in the parking lot at Publix supermarket, and since last Tuesday it has been in the body shop getting repairs. Well, in somewhat related news, just a few minutes ago I was questioned by an FBI Task Force officer who came to our house investigating a robbery in southern Kentucky this morning.
Apparently the robber drove a car that was the exact same make, model, and color as my wife’s car. Also they were able to get the last two characters from the license plate, and they matched her car as well. While the accident seemed like such a hassle at the time, it was pretty nice to be able to tell the officer that the car had been in the shop since last Tuesday and give him the information on how to confirm it.
While the officer was very nice, I’ve never been questioned by the FBI before (and hope I never am again), and I’ll have to say it was quite unnerving. Even now I still feel a bit unsettled by the whole thing.
