The Star Wars cast sings Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen! – Someone has entirely too much time on their hands, but this is hysterical.
I can’t stop thinking about the senseless murders in Aurora, CO early Friday morning. So incredibly sad & beyond words or comprehension. Nothing to do but pray.
What do you do? Are you an attorney?
I’m actually an IT Consultant. Our consulting group is a subsidiary of a public accounting firm here in Nashville.
Guinness Book of World Records recognizes surfer Garrett McNamara of Haleiwa, Hawaii for riding a 78-foot wave off the coast of Portugal in November 2011. I certainly don’t know the first thing about surfing, but this video just looks sick. I can’t imagine even being in the water with a wave that big much less trying to navigate a surfboard though it. Must Watch!
Have you ever had the sweet potato casserole at South Street here in Nashville…AMAZING!
I have not, but it sounds like I need to give it a try!

PREDS WIN! In honor of the Nashville Predators 3-1 win over the Wings, and their first ever 3-1 playoff series lead, here is a video clip of the game winning goal. I love how Marty Erat takes three Red Wings’ players with him, along with Howard the goalie, and then makes the perfect pass to Klein who buries it in the open net. Go Preds!
Now let’s finish off the Wings on Friday Night!
To everyone who was born in the U.S. and did not win the Mega Millions Lottery today….it is good to remember that you won the lottery when you were born in this great country. Don’t forget it!
This is wrong on so many levels.
Description from the designer: OSTRICH offers a micro environment in which to take a warm and comfortable power nap at ease. It is neither a pillow nor a cushion, nor a bed, nor a garment, but a bit of each at the same time. Its soothing cave-like interior shelters and isolates our head and hands (mind, senses and body) for a few minutes, without needing to leave our desk.
Would anyone ever actually use this?
SWEET! I have last year’s 27” iMac and love it. How long have you been a Mac user?
David….Been a Mac user for a LOOOONG time. We currently have 5 Macs in the house, and this will be Number 6. Wish I never had to use a Windows machine, but unfortunately part of the life of being a Technology Consultant.
Should be Awesome:
- 27” Display
- 16 GB RAM
- 256 GB Solid State Boot Drive
- 2 TB Data Drive
I’m such a GEEK!!
Shipping delay was due to a shortage of 2 TB hard drive because of the massive flooding in Taiwan.
When I was in high school my “dream” car was the Acura NSX which was produced by Honda between 1990 and 2005. Well, today I learned that they are officially bringing it back within the next three years. It will be made by Honda R&D Americas and manufactured in Ohio. The picture above is of a super sweet NSX Hybrid Concept which was unveiled today at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show. It is also noted that Tony Stark will be driving a convertible version of this concept car in the upcoming film “The Avengers.”
I can only hope that the final production car will be half as cool looking as this concept.
Former Preds’ coach gives hope to other Parkinson’s patients
From WKRN News 2 in Nashville: This is INCREDIBLE! An absolute MUST SEE!!! Former Nashville Predators Associate Coach Brent Peterson has been undergoing a series of treatments for Parkinson’s disease known as Deep Brain Stimulation. The results in this video are jaw dropping. Worth waiting through the Ad at the beginning. Trust me.
This has gotten a lot of play today in various media outlets, but I also wanted to share: Steve Jobs narrated the first “Think Different” commercial “Here’s to the Crazy Ones,” though it never aired on TV. The actual TV spot was released in 1997, and featured a voiceover by Richard Dreyfuss. I think I would echo a lot of people’s opinion that Steve’s voice is much more fitting, though it is haunting listening to it today.
RIP Steve Jobs – Steve Jobs was a MAJOR reason why I fell in love with technology, and ultimately became a technology professional. It is hard to forget the first time I used a Mac, an iPod, an iPhone, an iPad.
I’ve seen lots of articles tonight comparing him to Henry Ford or Thomas Edison, and I don’t think this is a stretch at all. I don’t think there has been another individual in technology/business in the last 25 years who is even worth comparing to the overall genius and excellence of Steve Jobs. There have been many CEOs and industry leaders who have excelled in one or two areas, but how many have excelled as an inventor, designer, innovator, manager, marketer, etc. His name is attached to over 330 patents with Apple. He took a company on the brink of bankruptcy in 1996 to become the most valuable company in the US at the time of his death. He revolutionized not one industry, but at least 3 that I can think of (Computers, Phones / Mobile, Music). He is the most compelling product pitchman I have ever watched or listened to. In a word…Amazing.
He will be missed.
We have been using Google Voice as our primary telephone number for a little over two years. One of the “features” of this service is that it will transcribe voice mail messages and email them to you. Unfortunately this “feature” is monumentally unhelpful and usually only good for a bit of humor. I found the message below especially funny. It is a birth announcement received this morning from our church:
This is the P. O view Church of Christ. Phone, 3. We rejoice in the birth of soap the Join in the car home Thursday September 1st, at 5:22 PM, She weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and 20 inches long. She is the daughter of keel I could. Tina at the car and she has a big brother, Todd. Again, we rejoice in the birth so for yes, Joey at the call at on September 1st. Have a great day.
6lbs, 14 ounces, and 20 inches long is a big piece of soap!
The pursuit of happiness is the source of all unhappiness.
“Getting Bin Laden: What Happened That Night in Abbottabad”
This is an ABSOLUTE MUST READ from The New Yorker magazine on the mission to kill Osama Bin Laden. I believe it was posted today, and was written by Nicholas Schmidle. Absolutely Riveting!!
What is Google+ (Google Plus) and do I need it? – Finally a video that does a good job of explaining the fundamental difference between Facebook and Google+. I don’t really want a new social network, but at least this video makes sense.
Trailer for the next P90X —-> P90X2 … Coming Fall 2011 … Can’t Wait!!
