Tina S., the 14-year-old French guitar player who went viral earlier this year with her cover of Van Halen’s Eruption, is back with a cover of Vivaldi Tribute (originally by French guitarist Patrick Rondat). While Eruption was crazy good, I actually think I enjoy this one more. Worth a watch.
Back in April I posted a preview of the first track from the upcoming, self-titled Queensrÿche album called Redemption, and then in May I posted another preview tracked called Where Dreams Go to Die. Well this past weekend they released their third preview track called Fallout. All of these tracks are quite good, and they definitely sound much more like the Rÿche of old. Looking forward to the new ablum on June 25th. Enjoy!
My friend Josh Jackson posted a link to this on Facebook earlier this week, and I was absolutely blown away. Eruption is one of the most famous guitar solos in history, performed by perhaps the greatest guitar player in history, Eddie Van Halen. The fact that a 14-year-old girl can can play this (and much more if you check her YouTube channel) is mind-boggling. Definitely worth a watch.
Back in April I posted a preview of the first track from the upcoming, self-titled Queensrÿche album called Redemption. Well today they released their second preview track called Where Dreams Go to Die. While I don’t necessarily like this one as well as Redemption, it definitely sounds like the Rÿche of old, and the new vocalist Todd La Torre sounds fantastic. Worth a listen. This is the first time I’ve been excited about a new Queensrÿche album since the mid 90s.
This is awesome…Love how they just play it straight-forward, the way it was written. Enjoy:
Can us “Halfers” say hello too? 🙂
You bet my friend!
Just found out that I was officially accepted onto the 2012 St. Jude Country Music Marathon (“CMM”) Pace Team as the 4 hour pacer for the full marathon. I’m totally stoked about this opportunity! I have run with pacers for 3 of my 10 marathon finishes, and really wanted to be able to help someone else with finishing their first marathon, meeting their goal, qualifying for Boston, etc.
Anybody else out there running the CMM in Nashville? If so come by and say hello before the race, or run with us if your goal is to break 4 hours.
